So you have decided to opt-in for an Oregon coast elopement and are in need of inspiration? Our ethereal and editorial-style shoot has you covered! We could go on for hours about our love for the Oregon coast. Not only are there many breathtaking locations to choose from but even with cloudy weather can you get a memorable experience. Photographers tend to thrive in overcast weather which is something you can be guaranteed when eloping in Oregon. We also don’t fall short with the sunfilled gorgeous frames. Basically whatever your mood, we are here to help you plan the perfect Oregon coast elopement.
A wedding vendor can make your vision come to life
Choosing an elopement doesn’t mean having to rely on “do it yourself”. One of the pros of eloping is splurging in areas you may not have been able to if you went the traditional route! At this point, you have selected the Oregon coast as your location, and most likely have landed on a date. Next on the list? I highly recommend inquiring the two wedding vendors that can assist you with the planning process.
- Oregon elopement photographer
- Coordinator/Planner that is familiar with Oregon wedding vendors
One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is getting to help my clients curate their dream experiences of committing to each other. It is the best feeling when I know exactly what vendors they should call! I adore learning about my client’s love stories and pulling pieces to incorporate into their day. Wedding planners also have a curated list of their own they share with their couples. This is extremely helpful when coordinating any setup and takedown.
Remember that a few helping hands mean you can rest easy and simply enjoy your wedding day.

Opt-in for a picnic moment at the coast
What is an Oregon coast elopement without a picnic overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean? Whether you choose a gorgeous setup with vendors or opt for a cozy blanket while sipping champagne and gazing at the water, you won’t regret it. Incorporating moments where you can just take it all in is totally worth the experience
For this styled shoot, we made sure to elevate this concept. Some oysters in the shell with champagne?? It can’t get more Oregon than that! We combined white flowers with grey linens and gold accents that perfectly matched the moody skies. The entire scene made me fall in love with the Oregon coast all over again.

Embracing Oregon weather, rain or shine
It’s no secret that with an Oregon wedding you should prepare to plan around the weather. At times it can be a tad unpredictable, even in the hot summer months. That’s why I suggest picking a date fitted to the mood and aesthetic you want to bring to your wedding. This gives you the best chance of getting the experience you are hoping for. Looking for blue skies with a minimal chance of rain? July and August are the months for you. Maybe you would prefer a breezy day with overcast lighting? The May and June springtime it is! Also, remember that your coordinator will have a plan B if there is any foreseen probability of rain.
What matters most is that you embrace whatever the outcome. Of course, we can’t control the weather, but we can choose how to accept and enjoy it. Doing this will allow you to stay in the moment and soak up all the feels. Leave worrying about how the pictures will turn out to your photographer. Here’s why, if you hire an Oregon elopement photographer, they will make dang sure your photos are everything you dream of and more.
Our couple showed just this in our Oregon Coast elopement styled shoot. The flash photography of them dancing in the rain might just be one of my favorite scenes. I got to capture their authentic happiness while embracing mother nature.
