WOW this editorial studio shoot was out of this world. I am blown away by what we created in San Francisco with Chantelle and Donta!! Being a California wedding photographer is an absolute DREAM because I get to work with bomb ass couples like these two.
The Shootout Society alwayssss kills it with the shoots they put together. If you are a California wedding photographer you NEED to go to one of their shoots. Let’s talk through the outfits from this shoot real quick because if you need any outfit inspo for your engagement session, THIS GALLERY HAS IT!
Neutrals for the WIN
This editorial couples shoot highlighted just how beautiful neutral colors are for photoshoots. You’ve prob heard me talk about it a millionnnn times if you follow me on IG, but neutral colors are seriously where it’s AT. Because neutrals are, well, just that – neutral – they pretty much go with anything and everything. They’ll complement any location, any accent colors in makeup or florals, any background, and any skin tone (as long as you don’t wear a shade that exactly matches your skin tone and looks too oddly blended in).
Chantelle and Donta prove that simple neutrals go a longgggg way especially in a naturally-lit, white studio. Chantelle started off our shoot in a gorgeous + superrrr flattering tan form-fitting dress. Paired with white sneakers & socks, she looked like she was straight outta a fashion mag. And Donta looked just as bomb with a light beige long-sleeve jacket, over a cream-colored turtleneck. These brown-toned outfits looked AMAZING against the floral installations in the studio!!
White on white
Later in the shoot these two both changed into even more whites + cream-colored outfits. And looked JUST as bombbbb. Who said white-on-white doesn’t work?! Because these two definitely made it work, with all-white outfits paired with white walls. They somehow looked both super professional + casual at the same time and were the most amazing models for the editorial vibe we were going for!!
Cannot thank these two enough for such an awesome time in this studio – this shoot will always be one of my favs!!
